Gangsters of the Day

Fail

So I was in the Cardio Cinema room at the Gym running on the treadmill watching Indian Jones on the big screen minding my own business when disaster struck. I was nearing mile 2 when I decided to pick up my cell phone and check my email. Without me realizing, my pace began to slow and I started drifting sideways. Before I knew it, my right foot caught the right side of the treadmill (the part that doesn’t move) and I lost my balance. I started trying to catch myself and make it back up but it was just too late. I flailed like a flopping fish and I biffed it hard. Thump! It was painful.

Physics Rap

Anyone who likes physics can appreciate these rhymes. As for me, I hate physics…but like the flow.

BrookynTwang says,

“Check out this video for the Large Hadron Rap, by far the greatest physics rap of all time. The flow is halfway decent, and it accurately covers a lot of knowledge related to particle physics and the LHC. Its by AlpineKat, alter-ego of a science writer currently working at the LHC.”

Milk

For three days we’ve been without milk.  For three days i’ve been without Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.  After the gym tonight we’re gonna go grab some milk.  I can’t go a day longer without my cereal. That’s all.

Abraham Crumpin

Since we’re on the subject of politics, might as well keep it going. When people ask me who my all-time favorite President was, my answer is simple.  And the picture below shows why.  That’s not Mozart he’s listening too. That’s Tupac.

Little Mermaid

Inspired by Michael Phelps’ amazing Olympic performance and renewed with an appreciation of fish-like humans, i’ve restored an item to my bucket list that had long been crossed off: Find the little mermaid.

Stop laughing. I’m dead serious.

And by the way, check out the ultimate bucket list: Before I die I want too…

2 interesting blogs

Prison Proxy
“Fascinating daily blog by a nameless inmate currently serving a life sentence in the Texas Penitentiary. He updates the blog daily with the help of a friend on the outside. The way it works is he hand writes and mails 5 posts once a week to a friend outside of the jail.”

The Orwell Prize
“The Orwell Prize, Britain’s pre-eminent prize for political writing, is publishing George Orwell’s diaries as a blog … The diaries are exactly as Orwell wrote them. Where there are original spelling errors, they are indicated by a ° following the offending word.”

I’m serious.

Flint Police

What they deal with I guess.

Randy Pausch

This isn’t new news. But I just wanted to say that this guy is a hero.  He’s the Carnegie Mellon professor (dying of cancer at the time) who became famous with his Last Lecture (almost 6 million views).  Wall Street Journal and New York Times have his story covered really well.  His life recently came to an end.  But for real, he’s a hero.
